Opened in 1987, this historic theatre has become a cultural landmark, hosting a variety of performances ranging from Broadway shows to concerts and dance productions. With a seating capacity of approximately 500, the Newmark Theatre offers an up-close experience that enhances the connection between performers and the audience.

Throughout the year, the theatre features a diverse lineup of events, including seasonal performances and special engagements. Seating Information

The seating arrangement at the Newmark Theatre is designed to provide excellent sightlines from every angle. The best sections are generally considered to be the center rows in the orchestra level, where attendees can enjoy unobstructed views of the stage. These seats offer an immersive experience, making them highly sought after by theatre-goers.

On the other hand, seats located towards the back of the theatre may not provide the same level of engagement with performances. While these seats are more affordable, they can sometimes compromise the overall experience due to distance from the stage. However, there are also several sections that offer a balance between price and view, making them suitable for budget-conscious attendees.

Parking Information

Parking options near the Newmark Theatre are plentiful, ensuring convenience for visitors. One of the best parking facilities is the SmartPark Garage located at 10th Avenue and Yamhill Street. This garage offers competitive pricing at approximately $5 for up to four hours, making it an economical choice for theatre-goers.

In addition to SmartPark, there are several other parking lots and street parking options available within walking distance of the venue. However, it is advisable to avoid parking in areas that are known for high traffic congestion during event times, as this can lead to delays when arriving or departing from performances. The Newmark Theatre's central location in Portland makes it easily accessible for both locals and visitors alike.
